About the Game[]

What is World's End Club?[]

World's End Club is a puzzle-adventure game by Too Kyo Games, co-directed by Kotaro Uchikoshi and Takumi Nakazawa of Zero Escape and Infinity series fame, with Danganronpa series creator Kazutaka Kodaka as the creative director. The game's character designer Take is also known for her recent work on designs in Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Sword and Shield. World's End Club follows the twelve children of the Go-Getters Club after they find themselves in a strange underwater park on the other side of the country. As they journey home to Tokyo, they also must unravel the mystery of what happened to them and their world. Like many of Uchikoshi's works, the story features a branching narrative that unfolds as the player learns more information. The game alternates between story segments and platforming segments in which the player takes control of one of the characters.

What are the different versions?[]

Currently, World's End Club is available for Apple Arcade and Nintendo Switch, along with a free demo version for Switch.

  • The Apple Arcade version, released in September 2020, is available on any Mac or iOS device with a subscription to the Apple Arcade service. The initial release on this platform was considered "Part 1" and covered about 70% of the full story, according to Uchikoshi. This version was updated to include the complete story and English dub alongside the Switch release.
  • The Switch demo, released May 6th, 2021. This version covers the first 60-90 minutes of the game and features English and Japanese audio. No content is cut or altered from the full game, and the demo save data can be transferred to the complete Switch version, so playing the demo is effectively playing the beginning of the game early.
  • The Nintendo Switch version released May 28th, 2021. This version includes the full story, and English and Japanese audio.

If I played the Apple Arcade version, do I need to replay everything on Switch?[]

No. The Switch version includes a short "quiz" at the beginning that will allow anyone who played the Apple Arcade version to jump ahead in the story and pick up where it left off. However, the Switch version also includes new collectibles that were not in the Apple Arcade version to incentivize players to replay the game. Players who skip ahead still have the ability to replay stages to go back for the collectibles. Expand below for the quiz answers:

  • Question 1: Kagoshima
  • Question 2: MAIK
  • Question 3: Black
  • Question 4: It derailed
  • Question 5: In a factory in Nagoya
  • Question 6: An elementary school

Other Questions[]

Can I stream World's End Club?[]

Yes, the entire game can be streamed. However, "videos with major spoilers, or un-edited gameplay videos with no creativity" have been prohibited. This policy likely applies to no-commentary videos, but how it will be enforced remains to be seen.
